Terrazzo
Are you thinking of investing in terrazzo? Did you know that it can cost you thousands to replace it? Don’t spend the extra money and hire us to restore your terrazzo for floors, walls, stairs, benches, and vanities.
At Grand Stone Restoration, we have an experienced team of professionals to help you with any task.
Our step-by-step approach to terrazzo restoration includes
Grinding
This is the foremost step, also known as lippage removal. This step removes the imperfections and smooths the terrazzo edges. This process also removes scratches and light/medium stains.
Honing
Honing the terrazzo with the diamond pads can smooth the terrazzo and give it a slight shine. This process also removes stains and scratches and is done last because it adds shine.
Polishing
Polishing is the best way to give the terrazzo a semi- to a high-gloss finish. This process requires more diamond pads and is the last process before applying the sealer.
After terrazzo restoration
We recommend not using the following items after terrazzo restoration.
- Bleach, vinegar, ammonia, and oven cleaners.
- Abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or sponges
- Wax coatings
- Acid or alkaline-based cleaners
Use neutral pH products for daily cleaning. You can also use safe stone cleaners that are effective and protect the sealant from damage.
